‘Waiting for Superman’ Not so Super?

The new documentary on America’s educational system, “Waiting For ‘Superman,’” has generated a lot of buzz. Though it does a good job of exposing the system’s flaws, it is misleading because it focuses most of its time on the worst schools in the nation.

For example, “Waiting For ‘Superman’ ” spotlights a high school where only three in 100 students graduates. The film follows students of various ethnicities hoping to get into a charter school.
