This disclosure policy is in effect from Sunday July 12, 2009.

This blog consists of articles written and/or edited by me, author Damien Riley. It is a collection of “posts” related by a common theme which you can find in the About section. I write because I enjoy connecting with readers. The Bohemian in me would do it for free until I am 80. Having said that, there are several ways I profit from this blog to compensate my family for the time away I spend working on it. Some include: Adsense ads, sponsored posts, text-links (these are included without in-post disclosure), and private advertising. While the sponsored posts are always kept to a minimum, I do them here. I would ask if they offend you to please scroll past them. I always write them in such a way to show the reader they are as such. I don’t ever try to mask what I am doing here. Having said that, I will not write a sponsored post unless two truths are present: 1) I believe the product or link has value to my readers 2) I believe and/or use the product. For example, I wrote about a company that sells prescription glasses for $8. This is extremely beneficial to many of my readers who now use this service. The post paid me $3 two years ago and people are still emailing me thanking me for writing it.

Now that I have said all that, please understand that I’m truly committed to writing here. The small amount of money I may or may not make month-to-month is not the primary motivation I have for doing this. I hope you will read my blog knowing my primary motivation is to create and innovate quality content that provides value to the readers. Thank you!
